My Pretty Leg

My "pretty" leg was the last leg I got. Having a leg that looks like a leg wasn't that important to me so it was really last on my list. Although, I do have to say it's nice to have a leg that looks like a leg for those nights you want to wear a dress and not look like a cyborg!

The foot I wear on this pretty leg is the left over Otto Bock Trias foot. Nothing fancy, just one of my old feet.

Suspension System - Otto Bock's Harmony P2

While I've heard and seen people who have a V-Hold system and their leg covered, I just feel that V-Hold in it's current state is too bulky to cover. It's also a pain to have to reach it if something goes wrong or breaks.

So, for my pretty leg I use the Otto Bock's Harmony P2 system. This is also a vacuum system that manually sucks air from your socket each time you take a step. It works great; the only downside is that if I have a hole or a leak someplace I can only tell by seeing a red 'hickey' when I remove the leg.

But this doesn't bother me too much because I only wear it for a few hours at a time. The damage a leak may cause is very minimal. The good side about a system like this is that it typically doesn't just stop working like the electronic version and V-Hold. It is mechanical and as long as you walk you will have suction.
